Early Life

CK Raut was born in Saptari, Nepal. He is known for his strong academic background in computer science. He studied in Nepal and also went to Japan and the United States for his higher education.

Career

Mr. Raut first became known as a strong voice for the rights of people in the Madhesh region. He led a group that wanted an independent Madhesh state. Because of these views, he was arrested several times. Later, he changed his path from separatism to working within Nepal's political system.

Political Role

After changing his approach, CK Raut formed the Janamat Party. This party now works for the rights of Madhesh people, for better federalism, and for good government. He has run in national elections and is currently a Member of Parliament. His party is becoming an important political force in the Madhesh area of Nepal.
