Sagar Dhakal is a Nepali hydropower engineer and a youth activist. He also has a strong academic background from his studies abroad.

Career

Before entering formal politics, Sagar Dhakal worked in the hydropower sector. He also gained recognition as a youth activist, speaking up on various national issues.

Political Role

Sagar Dhakal first gained national attention as an independent candidate in the 2022 general elections from Dadeldhura. There, he challenged veteran leader Sher Bahadur Deuba. He is now a member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, advocating for reform and against corruption. Dhakal represents a new generation of educated, independent-minded leaders.
