Early Life

Upendra Yadav was born in Saptari district, in the southern plains of Nepal. He began his political journey during his student days, showing an early interest in public service and social change.

Career

He started as a communist leader, working for the rights of ordinary people. Later, he became a strong voice for the Madeshi community in Nepal's Terai region, forming political parties to represent their interests. He has been a key figure in advocating for their rights and identity.

Political Role

Mr. Yadav has served in high government positions, including as Deputy Prime Minister and a minister for important departments like Foreign Affairs and Health. He is known for leading movements that pushed for more rights and fair representation for the Madeshi people. Today, he leads the Janata Samajwadi Party, continuing to champion federalism and inclusive politics in Nepal.
